Freelance/Contra UD Designer wanted for a charity website

at Survival International in London

Survival has had a website for 20 years. The site serves all Survival’s overseas offices and audiences, so exists in seven languages with the same CMS. We have peaks in audience from time to time, usually driven by news we share on social media.

Our website is tired and poorly designed, and does not serve its two primary objectives well (to drive donations and action).

The current codebase has largely been developed in-house: It is over 10 years old and very out of date, and our new web team are re-writing the whole site from scratch. This provides a good opportunity to examine the UX and UI properly for the first time.

Please see link for a more detailed description of the project. https://s3.amazonaws.com/asset.survivalinternational.org/static/ux_design_brief.pdf

The budget for this project is around £6000, we estimate that this is about 1 month's work (20 days). We will require the applicant to be in the UK and travel to our London headquarters for the initial design/workshop phase.

Please include examples of your work and a brief outline of your approach to UX design in your cover letter.
